A Mercy

bismillahirrahmanirrahim

12 Rabi'ulAwal. This date is well known to everybody either Muslim or non-Muslim. Everybody knows that it is the date of birth of our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), but we do forget that this date is also the date of his death, or some of us do not know about this.

It was recorded that Prophet Muhammad was born on the 12th day of Rabi-ul- Awwal [the third month of the Muslim Calendar] which was Monday 20th April, 570 AD in Mecca, Arabia. While the date of death is on the evening of the 12 Rabi-ul- Awwal [June 8th, 632 AD]. The Prophet Muhammad passed away at the age of 63. He was buried the next morning at the precise spot he died in Medina.. The Birth and Death Anniversary of our Holy Prophet Muhammad is an event that should be remembered by all of us even though he himself not celebrate it. It’s a celebration of joy and mercy that recounts the compassion of the great Prophet..

Praise to Allah for sending Prophet Muhammad as our guidance..
Praise to Allah for sending him as a mercy not only for Muslims, but for all mankind..

Allah said in surah al-Ahzab, verses 56: "Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet: O ye that believe! Send ye blessings (Solawat) on him, and salute him with all respect." Lets solawat together.. Allahumma Solli 'ala Saydina Muhammad wa 'ala aali Muhammad.. not only for today, but for the rest of our life...

A Mercy..
It is not only for ordinary human can be a mercy for All human kind.. This honor is just for Rasulullah s.a.w. who is the last Messenger sent by Allah to deliver His message of Islam, to bring mercy, to be a role model in any aspects of life.. Sollu 'alaih~!!

And i really love a story where Rasulullah kissed his grandson Hasan Ibn `Alee while Al-Aqra Ibn Haabis was in his presence. So Al-Aqra said to him: "You kiss your children. I swear by Allah, I have ten children and I never kissed any one of them!” Rasulullah (SAW) said: “He who doesnt show mercy (to others) will not be shown mercy (by Allah).” Verily, mercy – in our religion – encompasses this world and the hereafter, as well as mankind, animals, birds, and the surrounding habitats..

Allah has described Himself with mercy and He has also described His prophets and righteous servants with it. Allah says: “Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah and those who are with him are severe against the disbelievers and merciful to one another.”

Allah has made his sending forth Rasulullah (SAW) as a mercy to all of creation, as He says:
“And We have not sent you (O Muhammad) except as a mercy to the worlds.”

In fact, the existence of Prophet Muhammad bring happiness to the world either for Muslim or non-Muslim. He is only the one person which his life is recorded in every single detail
during his life and after his death. He is the only one who was described in the perfectness and the best creature. He brought the message of Islam as a way of our life. His message is comprehensive and cover all of our needs..

Yesterday, i attend a talk organized by al-Aqsa Friends' Society & al-Salam Club in IIUM. The title is very catchy, and i really want to know although i'm so tired settling my study works. "Our Prophet: What the Non-Muslim have said about him", delivered by Dr. Belghit Mohamed. In the beginning, they showed a multimedia presentation on the interview of some IIUM students that has been asked about some kind these questions: Who is Prophet Muhammad? What non-Muslim have done against him? What is your actions regarding this issue? At the meantime, i also ask the same question to myself.. So, What have you done to protect him???

I like to copy an Arabic poem as shared by the speaker, "When Allah loves someone, He let other people talk about him here and there". It's so true. It is a sign of love by Allah to His Messenger. The poem also goes to all of us. People will never stop talking, either good or bad, it is a sign of love! just remember that my friends...

Prophet Muhammad is also the only person when we know about him, we will want to know more. More we know, more we love him, more we admire his characters, more we want to follow him, more we thanks Allah for sending him as a mercy~!

"If Muhammad is alive today, we will be able to solve the world's problem, when he take a cup of coffee..", quoted by Bernard Shawl, and he is non-Muslim! Of course he will study about him first before he made this statement, and what do you really feel if Prophet Muhammad is still alive today? What will you do? Do you ever think about it??
